How we grade the evidence
We grade human evidence for the specific outcome claimed, taking account of the preparation, dose, people and study quality. Animal and test-tube studies do not count toward a grade. When a seller does not disclose ingredient amounts, we cannot tell whether the product matches the studied doses.
Each review is then scored on five things:
- Evidence for the claims
- Label disclosure
- Safety information
- Price clarity
- Refund terms
- StrongSeveral good human trials agree
- ModerateSome human trials, mostly consistent
- WeakFew, small or mixed human trials
- NoneNo relevant human studies found for the claim
- No benefitGood human trials found no meaningful benefit for the outcome tested
